Ballet Dancer

This painting celebrates the “Dancer” expressing herself through the art of her dance, ballet. For some it conjures up images of a favorite ballet performance, for others memories of children in dance classes learning routines for recital performances. In that magical moment on stage performing, the hours of practice seem to fade away and each child feels like a star. Many love the dance and go on to share the “art of dance” with another generation of children. Others go on to become professional dancers themselves, once again sharing their “art” of dance with us all.

The technique used illustrates the hectic, chaotic world around us in contrast to the peaceful serenity of the dancer focused on the “art” and becoming part of the “dance”.
